Literally this podcast brings me back to life. Not only is their dating advice great and realistic, but J&J have such good banter you kind of feel like you’re hanging out with friends! Lots of fun and makes me feel a little more empowered when it comes to dating. (Title reference to ep 405, which you should all listen to!)

Jared, what's the deal?

I love this show but I've been pretty bummed out by Jared's take on things on a regular basis. It seems like he bases all his responses on his personal insecurities. Like last episode when all he could focus on was that the writer was saying the guy didn't have a hard d!ck. That's a problem for most ladies, especially when it's a hook up... The guy was literally practicing BDSM on her with no consent convo and Jared is all "lemme give this guy a little empathy." Isn't the whole point to laugh at this guy being a total d-bag?? We don't need an explanation of why the man deserves empathy on every question, Jesus Christ. And yes I know the girl was laughing about it and so was I. You give women who write in a hard time for the littlest this and this guy deserves empathy, ok guys...

I love when the two of you talk about your own lives and random tidbits at the beginning of each episode! It would be so weird if you two just started reading an email. It’s not too long of a dialogue either. Just know you have one listener who enjoys it! I’m a long time listener and subscriber (on both Spotify and apple) and you two are the one podcast I consistently listen to every single week. Keep up the good work!

I’d describe this pod as dopeness AAAAND coolness! And while I’m reading the other reviews… can we actually get MORE of jared singing? A singalong episode perhaps? A few holiday tunes? LOVE the way you “dive right in” at every episode. The banter is an excellent intro and never disappoints. More live shows soon please!!!

All the funnies. All the best advice. When they giggle I can’t help but giggle. Seriously, this is such a great show. I’m not a millennial but I am a divorced 50 yo woman who has enjoyed their advice as I got back out into the dating pool. I’m now with a wonderful partner and I give partial credit to J & J!

Love the pod but please no more singing, Jared

I've been a loyal U Up? Listener since tbe beginning and this pod is always one I look forward to - so much so that I'm a benefits subscriber. I recommend it to all my friends. But for all that is good in this world... less of the singing please. I love Jordana and Jared riffing off eachother but the singing makes me skip ahead every time 😭

I’m a huge fan of Jared as well, but I wanted to dedicate this review to Jordana. I’ve been a long time listener of U Up, and a newer listener of Betches, Oversharing, and some older episodes of Brides. Your perspective is always so so valuable. You’re able to articulate thoughts intelligently while remaining humble. You share your opinion and stay true to yourself while being fair. Your voice is strong and calming, and you’re a great part of my week. Thank you for what you do!

No more Emily

The last episode was terrible. The guest constantly interrupted Jared and Jordanna and had the most annoying voice, talking to them and the audience like we are in kindergarten. I couldn’t even listen after stopping and starting twice

Hi Jordana!

Hi Jordana, I know you are reading this! I have been listening to this podcast since the very beginning and I wasn’t planning on writing a review until I noticed all of the hate coming for Jared. Jared is one of the reasons I love this podcast and regardless of what his personal dating status is I think he always gives great, unbiased advice. I think the banter and genuine friendship between the two of you is so candid, relatable and entertaining. It is obvious you both put so much thought and time into each and every recording and it is so appreciated. I have recently become a subscriber and am invested in both of your lives and appreciate the vulnerability you both share. Even though I am in a happy long-term relationship I still look forward to this podcast every week and the entertainment it provides me!

No price increase

Love the show and have been a benefits subscriber for a while. It’s clearly not worth the money for 2 podcasts a month, especially since Jared comes unprepared with no follow through or progress. Then last week Jordana said the price is going UP! For what? She didn’t even say why or how much it would be. Felt like a brazen money grab! U Up with Benefits is already a rip off given they just ramble for 40 min but I liked supporting them more directly as a male listener who rarely wants what the advertisers sell. Sadly this was the last straw. Cancelled my subscription.

Love it!

I'm married with a baby, but I'm addicted to this podcast because it's so fun and brings me back to my days on the apps. It's also just about being human, so anyone can find dating interesting. I love J & J's dynamic, though they do make the podcast very white and hetero. Jared once called people who use chopsticks to eat Chinese takeout pretentious and I was like um yeah that's just how I eat. Guests could bring some diversity. But recently they've brought on a couple guests who were insufferable and didn't fit the vibe of the podcast. If the guests could mostly focus on listeners' questions and only spend a little time promoting their books, that would be great. I know you read the reviews, Jordana, so I should also say I love you guys!

I love the pod but it’s time

I love the pod and will always listen, but it can be a bummer that Jared isn’t addressing long term issues with any sort of real work. He’ll talk to Jordana about it but nothing comes of it. I think it’s almost weighing on my mental health with dating and it sounds like it is for a lot of other listeners. I just wonder if doing this even makes Jared happy? Clearly he doesn’t enjoy dating, but it seems like he can’t admit to that. Instead he values the ego-driven aspect of always having a first date and then break up to follow that’s in his control. I encourage Jordana to bring this up. It’s time for some hard to hear advice for Jared that he so easily gives to the listeners and even his own uup team.
